The IcFEM-Mission Gap/Volunteers Programme has been linked with OSCAR since 29th April 2008. The title 'UK Information Service for World Mission' is appropriate as OSCAR is seeking to provide a service that would further the mission of Jesus Christ throughout the world. OSCAR is a member organisation of the UK Evangelical Alliance and Global Connections. OSCAR is in agreement with the Basis of Faith of the UK Evangelical Alliance.

OSCAR is the UK Information Service for World Mission, a Christian web-based service that provides information, advice and resources for those interested or involved in world mission found at www.oscar.org.uk an acronym of `One Stop Centre for Advice & Resources’ furthering the kingdom of God by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of mission work around the globe a charity registered in England & Wales (no. 1093265) a member of the UK Evangelical Alliance and Global Connections OSCAR grew out of the vision of Mike Frith, a former pilot with Mission Aviation Fellowship. Mike’s 10 years of experience working overseas gave him an insight into many of the problems facing mission workers. With the advent of the Internet, he saw an opportunity to alleviate many of these problems by improving information and communication between all those involved in mission work.
